Children's Ministries

Christian Education

"Children are a heritage of the Lord..." (Ps. 127:3). At Christian Fellowship of Toledo, we recognize and accept the responsibility to care for and educate the children God brings to us. We believe that fathers are to be the primary teachers of children and we want to support them in their efforts to pass on a spiritual heritage. We also recognize that many families do not have a father in this role; Jesus promises to be a father to the fatherless, and we therefore take great effort to assist in filling that role in the lives of our children.

Note: For the chldren's added protection, we have recetly begun implementation of a screening process on all of our volunteers and regular teachers similar to that used by the YMCA. This screening will be in addition to the spiritual qualifications we currently require.

Following are our ministries to children:

Children's Church

This ministry is for children ages 4 through 4th grade. The purpose is to share Jesus Christ and provide spiritual lessons for life in a setting that is less structured than the Adult Bible Hour. The format may vary from week to week, but the class is always full of fun and Bible stories. Our goal is to show the children that church is a happy place where they are treated as individuals, encouraged to enjoy themselves and each other, and taught the confidence that comes from knowing a loving, heavenly Father.

Sunday School

We offer a graduated curriculum for Toddlers (2 and 3 years old) through high school. Our dedicated teachers use Bible-based lessons on subjects

appropriate to students' needs using materials from such sources as David C. Cook, Scripture Press, Child Evangelism Fellowship, and others. An effort is made to present the gospel in each class.

Pioneer Clubs

Wednesdays 6:45pm - 8:00pm

Pre-K and Kindergartners - "Scooters"

1st and 2nd Graders - "Voyagers" (boys and Girls)

3rd and 4th Graders - "Pathfinders" (boys and Girls)

5th through 7th Graders - "Trailblazers (girls only)

We want children of all ages to put CHrist first in every aspect of their lives, study the Bible together, form healthy relationships and grow as whole persons.

$10 or whatever you can pay.

On Wednesday nights during the academic year, we operate this Christ-centered weekly club program where children grow as whole persons and learn to make Christ Lord in every aspect of life.  Every week club members take part in projects, games singing, and skill building activities such as drama, fitness, camping, cooking, and woodworking.  In Bible Explorations, children learn about God's love, Christian values and how to apply the Bible to everyday life.  Ages 4yrs - 7th grade.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

This program is carried out each day for one week during the summer to encourage our children and reach out to the neighborhood.

Nursery and Toddler Care

We work especially hard to take of the Christian Fellowship members and leaders of 2030 and beyond! Care for young children, from birth to two and a half years old, is provided for every regular Fellowship activity. Our nursery and toddler rooms are staffed by eager and experienced lullaby-singers, bottle-givers, diaper-changers, and story-tellers.
